What is Threading?
Eyebrow and facial threading is a technique that has been practiced for at least hundreds of years. Believed to have originated in India, it is also widely practiced in the Middle East.
The practitioner holds one end of the cotton thread in her teeth and the other in the left hand. The middle is looped through the index and middle fingers of the right hand. The loop is used to trap a series of unwanted hairs and pull them from the root.
It is very gentle on the skin and safe for those that cannot wax or sugar, such as anyone that is on blood thinners, acne medication or topical retinoid creams.
Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows. It is used as a method of removing unwanted hair on the entire face.
